The Rangpur Red Lime is also appreciated for its fragrant purple flowers, abundant fruiting, and good cold resistance. Flowering mainly occurs in spring (April-May), with possible summer re-flowering, while the fruits ripen from autumn to early winter. The fruits are roundish and slightly flattened, with a thin and very aromatic peel, rich in essential oils. When fully ripe, they turn from green to red-orange and contain juicy pulp with a tart and spicy taste, more intense than traditional limes. They are perfect for cocktails, marinades, ethnic cuisine, and desserts. The plant for sale is approximately 80 cm tall including the pot, is about 2 years old from grafting, and is healthy, vigorous, and already productive.
